Add New Usability Labs and Testing Centers

Welcome! Thank you for adding your usability lab/center information to the GUKM database. One of the goals of GUKM is to build a database of usability testing labs and testing centers around the world. (Please note: this database is for usability labs and centers only, not individual consultants.)

After your lab/center information is submitted we will confirm it. If our staff decides that your lab/center fits the GUKM project profile, your information will be added to the website.

We will only use your personal information to contact you when information is being confirmed or updated. Your company and lab/center information will be used only for displaying your lab/center location on the map and in the lists. Information submitted will not be used in any other way and will not be sold.

Enter only the name of your usability lab/center; do not include the names of an associated organization or a parent company (you will have the opportunity to add additional information in the next field).

Example: Human Factor Lab (Lab name)


If your lab/center is a division of, or associated with, another organization you may provide that information. You can enter multiple names by separating them with forward slashes ('/'). Do not use commas (',') to separate names.

Example 1: Learning System Institute (is associated with) / Florida State University (associated university name)
Example 2: ABC Inc. (is a division of) / The Walt Disney (parent company name)


Choose only one country. If you have multiple locations, you need to submit a separate form for each or you need to choose to submit information for one representative lab/center.

Type the full name of city where your lab/center is located.

Example: New York (Correct) - N.Y (Incorrect)


Type your lab's/center's full address. Providing full and correct detail will allow us to map your location using Google Map.

Example: 2000 Levy Avenue Suite 320 Tallahassee Florida 32310

Latitude / Longitude
These are not required fields. However, we are using Google Maps, which does not include geo-codes for many countries. You can indicate your lab/center location by using one of these (free) websites (feel free to indicate your location even if your lab/center is located in a country for which Google Map supplies geocodes):

After you find the latitude and longitude of your lab/center, simply copy and paste the codes into the input boxes:

We categorize labs/centers as "academic," "business," or "other." If you think your lab/center does not fit either the "academic" or "business" categories, choose "other."

Academic     (Example: your lab/center is in a university or an institute associated with a unversity.)
Business     (Example: Your lab/center is part of a company or is privately owned.)
Other     (Example: your lab/center is part a non-profit organization or is a government lab/center.
       


Type the FULL URL of your website.

Example: http://www.lpg.fsu.edu/kcrg/


List all languages supported by your website. Use '/' to add more languages. Do not use commas (',') to separate languages.

Example: English/Spanish/Japanese


Choose the year and month in which your lab/center began operation.


Please provide a brief description (less than 300 words) of the services provided by your usability lab/center or company.


Please provide search terms to describe your lab/center (such as research areas, characteristics, and/or services). You can enter multiple terms by separating them with forward slashes ('/'). Do not use commas (',') to separate key words.

Beyond building this lab/center database, we are also interested in the possibility of developing a repository for sharing results from usability evaluation studies carried out around the world
